I need more tops!

I realised I have been always alternating between those few tops. I decided to ’splurge’ on some tops. I didn’t plan to buy because I was just accompanying a friend out to the Tandem Centre. We were in one of the shops when I saw really cheap tops.. as cheap as GBP5, so.. why not?

It looks like it is fit for summer, but one can always improvise, can’t she?

I didn’t purposely choose th butterfly motive. I have this thing for butterflies.. there was this Hong Kong TVB series (I believe it’s called Detective Investigation Files?) that had this case where this psycho murderer killed anyone who wore a butterfly motive thing. Even a butterfly clip as well!

I chose this top because it fit me and it was cheap. I know it makes me sound like I am so cheapskate but hey, we’ve gotta stretch the dollar, no?

Wear it with leggings or skinny jeans. Simple!

BF Shirt & Green Shorts

Despite the absence of me from this awesome fashion website for a long time, I’m still very enthusiastic about fashion and love to talk about it.

BF shirts are very popular nowadays when we can see girls wearing big shirts with clinchers etc. Problem is that not everyone can carry that look well. Good example is me. Being such a big plus-sized girl, I could only wear a BF shirt as if it’s a normal shirt and with no clinchers as it’ll look too squeezy.

Shorts are awesome for short girls btw. Good example is me too. Despite the elephant legs, shorts could actually make my legs look smaller than usual. Less obvious will be the word to describe.

I didn’t purchase either one of them. I thought it was more expensive and there should be cheaper ones beside these. But, I really love the shirt.

Happy V Day!

Yes, this is what I want to wear out on V Day.

1. It is new. Just bought it from David & Goliath (original price: GBP20!) last weekend. CNY day 1 usually we don new clothes, so this qualifies.

2. So what if we do not have boyfriends? It is just to tell people we don’t need to be attached to be able to celebrate V Day! HAHAHHA. Single yet so happy now.. are you jealous?

Jokes aside, I think David & Goliath has got real quirky t-shirts with very nice puns and statements. Creative and certainly eye-catching. Beware of the prices though.. they are not what I call “worth your money” type, but I got this off a really cheap deal. GBP 5 and I am happy about it. I will wear this when I go back home..

If you see a girl with this shirt in a small town on Borneo Island, chances are you probably bumped into Dr Wong’s sister.

My best purchase from Perth

2009.113I believe that my shopping craze in Perth officially started with these four baby tees. Aren’t they cute? I have been wearing them at every chance possible. My old baby tees are been ignored.

It wasnt meant to be

DSC01445When I saw this top online, it is meant to be a casual stylish top. Something to be worn out to town. But, when I received it, I realised that it is impossible for me to wear it as stylish as the model of the pic I saw online. One of the factors is probaby because I am not as skinny.

As of now, this top, instead of a top for going out, is used as a home comfy top. Kind of sad.

Price: RM28

WGTGFashion.com tees

It started end of last year with some funds and a little tiny dream. From one design to another, finally it is here.. real and shiny.

Yes, it is our own tshirt!

It is printed on fully combed cotton black t-shirt with gold and silver foil. There are 13 nicknames splattered on the back in silver surrounding the gold blocked surnames.

It has been a long and eventful journey enroute to getting this tshirt from design into print. In total, it is almost 9 months since we first decided to put our funds into printing a tshirt instead of spending the money on food which would come as, erm.. human waste, anyway.

It wasn’t a complete set of 11 girls wearing the tshirts but this is the best we can do..

Manufacturer: B-comfort
Price: RM35 per piece

Trendy

todelete3

I haven’t been shopping. I was sent this cardigan so that means I don’t know the price. It’s quite warm you know.

For me, I like clothes that ’sticks’ to my body and this is one of them. So I really like this. The reason why I like something like that is because you can show your curves. *cough* No lah I just like tight clothes because it doesn’t make me look fat. I have fats on my tummy okay..

I wore singlet inside the cardigan. You can also wear long sleeve if it’s really cold.

The new ‘it’ top on my list

dress top

So, I’ve mentioned before how fashionable long tops are – and due to me being the kind of person who is always paranoid when I get up from a sitting position, so I’d always be pulling my top down in order to save myself from the embarrassment of the top being ridden up your back – I’d be bragging about how conveniently comfortable they are too.

This pretty-looking top was bought at Pull and Bear store in Qatar. It’s simple and the material it is made from is quite thin, giving a carefree kind of feeling to the wearer.

The key to wearing this long/dress top is LAYERS.

I wore it with black singlet underneath – and because Dunedin weather is so cold, I added a woollen, sleeveless vest underneath (colour that compliments of course!) and wa-la! very trendy indeed. Just slap on a pair of skinny jeans underneath – preferably black – for sleek effect, or even a pair of tights or leggings would do nicely.

Spotted in Mediacorp wardrobe

I think this TRF top does not suit me best, but I am blogging it just because I have spotted it no less than 5 times being worn by various actresses on Mediacorp series.

On a slim lady, it looks really pretty. But whenever I don it, I look like I am trying to conceive a pregnancy. Maybe it is the lack of proper waist definition on this piece. I never really have the tight abs as well, I guess.

Doesn’t stop me from noticing it being worn by people like Jessica Liu, Jeannette Aw and Eelyn Kok wearing the exact identical piece (smaller size, that’s for sure) on Mediacorp series. I guess they really recycle the apparels heavily.

Beads ‘em tube

Tube tops are easy to go by but some may be rather plain and boring. This tube top was a total bargain I got off a shop which was closing in Sunway Pyramid some time ago. Prices were slashed to a large proportion so what were two girls doing? My sis and I ended up ransacking the entire shop to look for good deals.

I found this simple blue tube with a belt of beaded pattern on at its top portion.

The beads were in sparkling blue and tangy orange – what a contrast it was! Of late, I notice some out-of-ordinary striking colour matching which creates contrast of never before (check this blue-brown combination) One must be grave to play with such thing.

But if you are not comfortable with just a bare tube top, always wear something out side. A cropped top Bolero style sounds good to cover those flabbly arms and give you some modesty at the same time.

Example of illustration..
