salmon treat?

Treated myself with a splash of salmon!

It’s actually Skin Food’s Salmon Brightening Eye Serum. salmon eye serum

Highly concentrated water-based serum rich in omega-3 fatty acid, haloxyl, arbutin and vitamins to improve blood circulation and whiten skin for excellent radiant eyes.

Well, I’ve always wanted something for my eye since I came back. Having puffiness, some dark circles and fine lines and also fatty spots…well, I’ve got to do something about it!

I do hope it’ll do some good to at least one or two of my problems!

I’ve just got the 3rd does today, and hopefully by week’s end, my eyes will look more brighten and clean! ^^

Insight revelation

Artistry has come out with two new sets of eye colours; Insight and Relevation, claimed to be the ‘Naturale Inspiration’ colour collection. Beauty in Bloom?

They both have refreshing characters, so I cannot really decide which one to go for.

They are limited edition so you may not see them after some time. Classic. Not to mention, it has shimmery effects, giving a sparkling outcome to a dull pair of eyes. Insight is more of warmth while Revelation provides cooler shades.

At one glance, I would want to go with Relevation. I love its glittery blue (which is called ‘Jade’). However, a second look makes me realise that Insight is a more practical set to go with. It is a safer choice, I must say.

Which one would you go for?

On another note, I may not have them after all. At Rm27 per gram, it is about paying for the quality and prestige I still have a long shopping list which limited budget. Wheeee!

My slow steps

It is embarassing sometimes to admit that I have never really used make-ups before. I used to think they make me look like a clown to the extent that I went on stage on the day Miri was declared a city in 2005 without any make-up. I must have looked ghostly pale or simply faded on national television.

Anyway, today at 23, I am starting to test the water. I believe it is simply ‘manners’ to put some light make-up before you go out. This is what I usually do..

1. Foundation

It is just like getting your face into a white sheet of paper before you start colouring it. I opt for the rather cheap Maybelline Aqua gel foundation (Light Beige) for a base. I found left-behind L’Oreal Visible Lift foundation in the bag, so I might try that on one of these days. After the liquid foundation, I pat some compact powder foundation. I am still searching for one that fits my needs and budget but meanwhile, I just make ado with what my aunt left behind for us – the L’Oreal Ideal Balance.

2. Eye

After putting on the foundation, I go off to the eye. I would put the eyeliner first. I am currently using the Unstoppable pencil liner by Maybelline. After lining both the lower and upper eye, I would straightaway put my favourite Red Earth  metallic eye shadow. At this stage, I just use one colour. I am venturing into 2-tone or 4-tone eye colours. It is all about blending the colours.

Of course, the mascara after that. I am still very lousy in that. I usually curl my eyelashes before applying the mascara. Currently, I am using the Japanese branded Fiberwig mascara, on loan to me by Gohyie. Still searching for the mascara to bring over to London…

Oh, see the concealer at the most left? I always tend to forget to use it. Naturally our skin tone underneath the eye is always darker, thus the use of concealers.

3. Blush

I always tend to skip this part. But since there is a very nice tone I like, I try to use it more often. The Christian Dior blushers are all hand-me-down items. I don’t think I would be getting any new blusher anytime soon. Not quite a fan.

4. Lips

I don’t wear lipsticks. Only glosses at the moment. I have one to recommend for long-lasting wear. It is the Lancome Juicy Tube.
