Do you remember those Thai stalls set up in concourses of shopping malls selling all sorts of apparels? They always have got those long skirts with all sorts of prints. My mum got one the previous trip she went to Shah Alam. Having in mind that we are all shorties in the family, I thought of an idea to turn it into a dress instead.

Coupled with a belt and a cropped jacket to create the ’sleeves’ illusion, I think it looks like a dress, after all. It would have been better if the belt is replaced with a elastic clincher for better grasp. You can create an empire waistline or the usual waistline definition. It is really up to your own creativity.
As for the footwear, I opted a vintage-looking peep-toe. It really is antic. According to my mum, the shoes are nearly 20 years old! My grandmother bought it and look how lasting it is.

It only happens in the F (for Fitting) room where we try on a certain piece of apparel for fun.
So, here I was at Parkson Grand at The Spring, Kuching. I walked past Bods.Bodynits area seeing big discount signs, so I stopped by to have a look. Prices were slashed as large as 70% off. I spotted this denim skirt whose price has gone down to RM32 per piece.

The material is thicker than the usual denim ‘feel’. I like thefloral patterns sewn on it, giving a classic yet refreshing style. The colour is a little faded, but that is fine. It goes along well with most tops. The length is quite decent as well. For a short girl like me, it is just short of the knee.
However, I didn’t get it in the end because I was trying not to splurge on unnecessary things. It doesn’t hurt having an extra skirt, but I still do not think it is wise to have it now.
