Adidas also produces very nice sportswear. Today ‘Spotted’ brings to you the Adidas Adilibria Ana Dress. It is the dress worn by Ana Ivanovic. Adidas says that it is inspired by the bombastic and unique playing style of Ana.

and, it looks like this real life

Adidas has done a great job with this Adilibria range. The asymmetry approach is definitely appealing. Pleated skirt style gives flexibility to the court movements for an active player. To add to the comfort, the ClimaCool® ventilation technology keeps the player dry and comfortable on court.
Having said that, a tricky bit to this is that at 86cm long, you need to be as tall as Ana (that’s over 6ft!) to look good in this piece.

Paris, the city of romance may not seem very fitting to the idea of red, dirty clay but tennis fans all know Paris as the home of the renown French Open.
Since Roland Garros is now buzzing with loads of activities, the viewers at home are also treated to magnificient tennis on the red clay. On the men’s side, it is more of following the aggressive play and the seeded players. The women’s matches, however, are mostly parades of tennis outfits which exude style, elegance and confidence.
In the debut of this Spotted section, I want to bring across the latest dress worn by tennis comeback queen, Maria Sharapova.
Just a year ago, Maria Sharapova entered the French Open as the top seed. Since then, she hasn’t been performing well and was off for almost 10 months due to a shoulder injury. Her comeback, now ranked 102, recently has created buzz everywhere. I, on the other hand, took note of her outfits, as usual.

This time around, the former No. 1 scream queen dons a very pretty ‘floaty’ blue dress. I would think it is rather like teal colour, with lighter blue as part of the ‘flares’ or what-ever-you-call it. The colour is outstanding, yet not too overrated. I like the asymmetrical top part. The empire waistline more room for running around the court and explosive movements.

A smart modification of this dress in its length and shoulder straps may be able to turn this piece into a beautiful night gown. Or bridesmaid dress. Use your imagination!
Bottom line to this Nike piece: Take tennis away, I believe this dress can be worn for casual occasions as well.
